How the points were given
Each cabinet is scored on performance, build, value, safety and warranty, with the weights published on our How We Pick page. Warranty scores follow the stated term only, and cabinets without a stated term score nothing on warranty. Safety reflects stated safety features only.

Scores run from 9.2 to 9.8: each product’s point total is placed on that range, so more points always means a higher score. Safety counts only for powered gear or where the listing states safety features; where it does not apply, the score is taken over the remaining 90 points.
What the listings tell you

Buying guide: best wall storage cabinets for garage
Size and shelf space
Cabinet widths here run from 25.98 in to 30 in, and depths from 11.8 in to 13.78 in. The VEVOR and the Manhattan Comfort cabinets are 30 in wide, while the GREATMEET is the narrowest at 25.98 in. Shelf space differs too: the VEVOR gives 4 adjustable levels, the Manhattan Comfort and GREATMEET give one adjustable shelf each, and the Eltean and Yoonkool shelves adjust or lift out. Measure the wall run and the tallest item before choosing.
Locks and doors
Every cabinet here locks. The VEVOR and GREATMEET use locking doors, the Eltean uses a key lock with a magnetic door, the Manhattan Comfort uses a door lock and key, and the Yoonkool uses a safety lock with 2 keys. Magnetic closures on the VEVOR and Eltean keep doors shut without locking, and the Eltean adds ventilation holes in the door. If the cabinet holds sharp or chemical items, a lock with keys kept away from the bench matters most.
Mounting and assembly
Mounting differs by cabinet. The VEVOR uses a rail-mount design for flush wall mounting, the Manhattan Comfort set includes mounting brackets, and the Eltean and Yoonkool fix through holes in the back panel. The GREATMEET listing gives about 30 minutes for assembly and installation, and the Eltean panels are numbered with assembly tools in the package. Check the wall backing before drilling, and keep the mounting hardware with the cabinet.
Warranty terms
Two cabinets state a warranty term: the Manhattan Comfort set carries a lifetime warranty and the VEVOR carries a 1 year limited warranty. The GREATMEET, Eltean and Yoonkool listings state no warranty term, so their warranty scores are nothing.

- Check the shelf load limit for heavy tools: two cabinets state 120 lbs per shelf or tier.
- Confirm the mounting style before ordering: rail-mount, brackets and back-panel holes differ by cabinet.
- Keep lock keys where you can find them: every cabinet here locks, and the Yoonkool listing includes 2 keys.
